KazUAV offers services for monitoring extended objects, including aerial photography, air patrol and inspection of infrastructure facilities using unmanned aerial vehicles both in addition to and instead of the solutions used today.
List of pipeline infrastructure monitoring tasks that can be solved using our company's technologies:
operational monitoring of the state of the main pipeline;
detection of unauthorized activity;
detection of foreign objects, equipment and people in a protected area;
performance of non-destructive testing (NDT) during tank inspection;
support in field surveys during facility design;
monitoring the progress of construction and repair work;
control of the work of contractors or in-house divisions;
air monitoring in hard-to-reach and remote areas;
monitoring of river spills and sanitary conditions;
environmental monitoring;
forecasting and modeling flood situations;
identification of damage to infrastructure facilities, washouts, etc.;
creation of a digital cartographic base;
inspection of high-rise structures (flare structures, transmission line supports, telecommunication towers, etc.);
control of the integrity of protective fences, structures and infrastructure;
obtaining digital photography materials in the visible, infrared and ultraviolet ranges;
obtaining a three-dimensional model (3D) of objects by stereo pairs;
obtaining an orthophotoplan;
recording aerial photography routes with display in a GIS;
formation of a database of aerial photography materials;
obtaining video information with the formation of a video data bank;
recording engineering facilities and much more.
With constant monitoring of pipelines using UAVs, it is possible to detect process transport at the time of oil extraction. Scheduled overflights of protected areas with a video camera or thermal imager installed on a gyrostabilized platform will allow identifying transport and people located in security zones regardless of the time of day. Moreover, it is possible to track the route of this transport and detect the storage locations of stolen oil or property with precise geographic reference.
Gas analysis can be used for: gas pipeline inspection; tank inspection; monitoring emissions at landfills; gas well testing; safety audits at factories, etc.
The most important part of the aircraft in this case is the leak detection device - an optical gas analyzer. The measurement principle of this device is based on the ability of methane to absorb infrared (IR) radiation from a laser of a certain wavelength (absorption infrared method). The laser beam directed at the objects of control (e.g. gas pipes, soil, etc.) is partially reflected. The device receives this reflected radiation flow and measures the degree of its absorption, which is then recalculated in the device into the density of methane in the probed gas layer (ppm; ppm - part per million "number of parts per million").
Owning or renting manned aircraft is significantly more expensive than unmanned monitoring. This allows you to use existing budgets for helicopter overflights and redistribute them to unmanned monitoring, while performing a greater volume of work with high efficiency. The use of unmanned aircraft also allows you to minimize human risks.
